Alexandra Dellepiane is the owner and chef of citrus.  Initially,  the restaurant was in “La Barra de Maldonado” (Punta del Este)   and  encompassed a multispace including cuisine, décor, a lounge/bar and fitness center.
Citrus became extremely successful with its  unique and trendy option  introducing a new way of enjoying subtle and harmonious cooking where Mexican, French, Italian and Thai flavors  blended initiating the nouvelle Californian cuisine which has now become a trademark of great cooking in much of the world.    

 

Alexandra has attained the highest  level of cuisine recognized both nationally and  and internationally , due to her unique personal style.  Besides being blessed with a special talent in the field of gastronomy,  she started to develop her art at the early age of 17 in “l.a.Table”,  a well known catering company in Los Angeles.  After her initial start,  due to the chef´s recommendation, she was  selected to work with Michael  L. Mccarty in  “Michaels” in Santa Mónica,  still considered one of the 3 best restaurants of Los Angeles.  It was here she began her training with the creator of the cooking known as “ nouvelle californian”,
Reaching the position of sous-chef.  She then took the important step to “L´Orangerie”, considered the most elegant  french restaurant in Beverly Hills then becoming   “celebrity chef” catering for famous people  such as  Barbra Streisand, Demi Moore, Rod Stewart, Arnold Schwarzenegger, among many others.
